We drive alongside New Zealand’s longest river; the Waikato, and through the rolling farmland of the Waikato region and the King Country south of Auckland. We include a tour of the world-famous Waitomo Glowworm Grotto, combining a guided walk and an underground boat trip where you’ll see huge, natural underground chambers lit by glowworms above and around you. Lunch in Otorohanga We include the entrance to the famous Otorohanga Kiwi House. See a live Kiwi being fed. You will be amazed at how fast they can run! Afterward, you have time to walk through the bird sanctuary viewing many different kinds of New Zealand native bird life.
